Preparation & Aftercare

Before beginning the therapy, you will undergo a consultation to determine if it is appropriate for you. As a non-invasive procedure employing injections instead of incisions, a number of numbing medicines will be offered to make the process as comfortable as possible.

Depending on the size of the region, the treatment could last between 15 and 45 minutes.   • For 48 hours after treatment, avoid exercise, hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, and spas, prolonged sun exposure, and heavy alcohol consumption.

  • Not massaging the area for at least 48 hours.
  • Certain inherent or potential dangers include, but are not limited to, edoema, bruising, discomfort, numbness, redness, or hardened regions in the treated area.
  • Paracetamol can be used to relieve discomfort.
  • Alcohol and smoking, anti-inflammatory drugs including ibuprofen, Vitamin E and Ginkgo Biloba, Fish and Krill Oil, and aspirin should be avoided after the treatment.

Why does a double chin develop?

How does it work?
The product that is injected into the chin area contains a naturally occurring component that aids in fat absorption.
When injected into the submental fat, it destroys the fat cells permanently through a process known as adipocytolysis. Once fat cells are destroyed, they can no longer store fat. Similar to how a deflated balloon cannot be re-inflated. The effects are long-lasting.
When will results be seen?

What are the side effects?
